I still cannot believe it.

One of my high school best friends… is getting married on October 25, 2003.

Marla broke the news to me last Thursday (was it?… basta it was last week, kasi she said “pamamanhikan na sa sabado” and that Saturday meant just last Saturday, which was just 2 days ago.) and it paralyzed me to my wits. It’s something when you hear someone you know is getting married… but now I know it definitely is something when someone you really know is getting married.

I don’t really know the guy. In fact, I’ve never met him in my life. Marla sent a picture of him and her once, with their Intel workplace as a backdrop. Not very striking as a marriable type, but heck.. who was I to know??!!

Just the same, it brings a wonderful chilly feeling of delight and happiness to the senses, both for my friend Marla, and to myself. As the cliche goes “I’m happy for her”. She’s 25 years old, and who’s stopping her? No one can. True love after all, cannot be stopped. Not when you put your head into it. I just pray that this man she chose to marry deserves the wonderful girl that she is.

Marla remains painted in my head as the charming petite lady who lived almost next door when we were younger, was the smartest cute girl in class in high school ( i never thought i was any cute compared to Marla heh, though I am pretty! aba, hihirit din ako lol) who surprised us with her suave dancing (she had the groove!), was always the perfect roommate in college. *sigh* Those indeed were the days of our lives. College swept by so fast and soon Marla was gone from my everyday, unlike before when Grace and I woke to that awful awful alarm clock themed on Woody Woodpecker!

The rest I have to say, well, I guess I’ll reserve for the bridal shower. *sniff* That’s one less among us four high school gal pals. Too bad Lilet’s in New York— she still doesn’t know about Marla’s upcoming wedding. She doesn’t answer her phone, seems like that isn’t her number anymore. I have to find a way to contact her.

I ought to call Cleo.

Marla-san is going to be Mrs. Marla-san soon.

It is scary… to think of marriage at this age… I wonder how she feels like?

Kaeru-sama… do you think I can get married at this age too?

Ne, ne… *sigh* I still can’t believe it.

another Monday.

As far as work and school goes, same old same old. Although I’ve reaffirmed that I do not like Trigonometry, much less Algebra, as much as Calculus. It’s so frikkin’ boring. Anywho… Just a few more weeks to go ’til classes end.

End of Days
as time draws to a close
no regrets
only anticipation of its dawning
however bitter or sweet
inevitable rest is best

But the best part is… it is September!!! Which only means Santa Claus is due in four months… and Silverh’s birthday is coming up soon.

neko=Only a month to go ’til the end of classes! *jumps about gleefully*
kaeru=*is busy*
neko=Itai ’su… my finger hurts…
kaeru=Want to play against Steve later?
neko= With Julia Chang, of course! My finger feels better already ^_____^
