Good morning.

Early bird gets the early worm. I don’t see any worms around to take.

Personal resolution: I will get to the office as early as I can each day and make use of the time afforded to do as much things as I can.

I am amazed at how the year passed without much progress in my thesis. I checked my lognotebook and my last activity was in August, when Ric programmed the quiver plot for the layer equation I found.

Is that why I’m so depressed? Silverh is right, I shouldn’t be thinking about what has passed, for after all, it is past. It’s not like I was some lazy bone lying around doing nothing the past year. I was working on things that weren’t contributing to my self-improvement. Empty work for other people. I can’t bring back the time lost. I can only look to what I can accomplish now for myself in the next few weeks.

I notice…. I have to keep my confidence level up these days. I might be slipping away. There is so much to say but I must defer for now, focus is much needed for my thesis proposal, which is due in a few days…

Good luck to us.

Enchanted Kingdom gimik

Our First Stop.

Before The First Ride.

The Park visitors.
Silverh dragged me over to the highlight attraction in
EK soon as we set foot around 11 a.m.
Here is an excited Space Shuttler, just moments before
it drained my fear all out.
A snapshot while we waited in line to ride the Wheel of Fate.

In-house Ferris Wheel - the Wheel of Fate!

View from the Top.

The Swans seen from Above.
A quick shot by the arch. This ride is my first ferris
wheel ride. I never got to ride any in any other parks.
We took a fair lot of pics while aboard the Wheel of
Fate. It took some getting used to with the ferriswheel
cab rocking incoherently ever so often. I couldnt get
the bats out of my tummy! (yes, bats, not just
butterflies!)
We didn’t ride the swans, but they were pretty to look at.

Ahoy! Aboard Anchors Away!

Stomachs are churnin’.

The Grand Carousel.
Fly butterflies! Fly away! Simple see-saw you say? Yeah right! Kids galore!

Rio Grande Rapids.

Rio Grande Rapids.

Rialto’s 7th Portal.
Yey! Doesn’t the entrance to the Rapids look great! So we had both our pictures taken. Too bad we couldn’t
be together.
This was such a drag!

4D Theater: The Bane Mansion.

Street Dancing at the Boardwalk.

Bump N’ Splash.
And so was this. To think you have to pay for it apart
from the day pass.
Not spectacular, but nice. It was a short show. We waited in line for like.. a half hour (?) for this ride…
Was too short for such a long wait…

Dodge ‘Em!

Up, up and away!

Flying Fiesta.
This was fun! More so we bet if there was more than
just two of us who knew each other.
This ride was closed. Bummer.. The only ride I can repeat for as many times I please.

Cooling Down at the Food Station.

Brasil Tropical Carnival.
t="240">
One of the last shots.
It was getting dark, we sat and waited for the Brazilian
performers.
One shot of the show. We didn’t finish watching it. It’s officially nighttime… I’m still hyper with the camera!

Crazy Purple.

Parting shot of the EK sky.

Bye-bye Carousel.
No, I didn’t drink! Just flashy in front of the camera =P This is nice ^_^ Awww… it’s time to go…

Purple with the Magician!

Silverh with the Magician!.

A together shot! At last!
Heheh. ^__^ We’re still inside the park grounds… we swear!

There are some more pictures in ’s LJ.

Enchanted Kingdom, NAIA crisis, Barrio Fiesta

The weekend flew past as swift as Kenshin’s sakabatou. It’s Monday today and the first day of school is over and done. I don’t have to teach ’til January next year, but I still have the thesis proposal to do in the next few weeks. Hopefully by end of November I’ll be done, and I can defend my proposal with George and Silverh.

I did some errands. We went to the bank this morning and to the opthalmologist in the afternoon. Audrey and her mom came by to have their eyes checked, and Audrey needed a new pair. I took some pictures at Dr. Sarabia’s clinic, I’ll put them up next time. Then to North Edsa to look at some toys, and ate a LOT at Barrio Fiesta. Pictures next time. Typing right now is such a chore, I’m so full and feeling so sleepy as if being a true blue Filipino aching for SIESTA!!!

Silverh and I used our EK day passes last Saturday. I’ll make a report on this later on. In the meantime, just checking email and stuff and I’m outta here. Hi to y’all! Ciao for now…

(some things are in my head about the NAIA crisis… I’ll talk about it some other time)

I’m getting bored and listless. Can’t believe there’s no urgent/important mediocrity to be accomplished at the moment.

Matrix - Revolution

Matrix Revolutions
Advanced Screening at SM North Edsa.

Silverh and I wanted to go to Mandaluyong earlier in the day, but since we left the office almost 6 p.m. we decided to try our luck for tickets in nearby North Edsa. We chanced upon Louie, and we watched the movie with his wife around 3 hours later.

Around 120-150 people were ahead of us. but we still got pretty good seats. We were sorta worn out, and I struggled a lot with sleepiness, even with the most graphic-intensive scenes playin’.

The mediocre side of life.

Does work have to be as routine as it usually is? Apparently not. Ca va ca va. I’m surprisingly having fun here at work today. A postive attitude really makes the difference. So, be more positive, Penelope. In everything.

Take a step back before taking a step forward.

Being insightful in every moment really helps in making a meaningful life. Asking yourself “Why am I doing this? Why do I feel this way?” is just as important as asking “How do I deal with this? How do I make things better? What is the first step towards the better?”

Today.

Two words.
House cleaning.
You know that feeling you get when you work out with weights and stuff (in the gym or go jogging or whatever)? Well, for the type of person who doesn’t normally do it as a routine for the looongest time, I mean. Like me. Y’know, when you wake up after a good rest and the previous afternoon you were workin’ out? Sore all over. That’s how I feel right now.

Resolution: I can do house cleaning every end of month. I will personally carry the books around for dusting from shelf to shelf.

We have this micro-library (as I would like to call it) that I fooled around cataloging (is there such a word) on MSAccess. I’ve tallied about 250 books as of today (in the past 2 days). I learned a lot, and realized I have a future in the library science area. (crosses fingers and knocks on wood)

Talkin’ to christine online. Be off to bed in a while… wonder how silverh is doing…
