Chinese New Year week: Year of the Monkey
They said this year would not be too good financial-wise. That is not so good news, especially since we are in dire need of financing if we want to go to New York this coming summer(i.e., July, not equatrorial summer). Doesn’t sound like a feasible plan at all.

Oxymoron for the week. The government declared January 22 (Thursday) a special working holiday. An unenthused yahoo to everyone.

Happy New Year to the Chinese. I’m sure a lot of Tai-chi and Wushu practitioners would be around the parks this week. Silverh and I saw some performances at the Megamall last Saturday. Yep, we were there shopping around for rollerblades. I never knew those cost so much around here. I used to own 2 pairs of skates, but I never learned how to use rollerblades. Rollerskates to me are easier. I guess it depends which you learn first. Rollerblading is like iceskating in my opinion. They’re physically the same shape, and you can “walk” when you get tired of sliding. Rollerskates can be walked too but the brakes are at the tippy toes so it’s sorta awkward to walk. When I was in the first grade I remember doing exhibitions for my school. I stopped skating when I entered high school.

Thus begins the thesis marathon. We meet with Ric tomorrow afternoon, so I’d have to start dusting off the thesis books and notes I haven’t touched this 2004. In fact, I shouldn’t be here typing in my LJ, I got some polishing up to do.

I did some laundry this morning. Plus an undesirable encounter with the pokemon master. Now who would barge in a bathroom when you see heated water ready to be used?

Ciao for now.
