Stop worrying and look at the bright side!

… do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34

After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

As sleepy as sleepy gets.

Corregidor trip confirmed for next week. Expect pictures! Hopefully we can go on a pilgrimage to Quezon province sometime next month too.

I was telling Amor earlier how we (me in particular, busy working people in general) seem to feel busy all the time, when in fact, if we will it, we can after all make time to go out of our way to do things we love do to, or simply things that bring us joy. In my case, and I’m sure a lot would share my sentiment, it would be to travel.

As long as I have the means, I would certainly enjoy touring the homeland, and God-willing, other places on this earth.

It’s wacky to read about a random person once in a while.

Today’s random person is: April of Vacaville, Ca.

2004 Laker Girls

See them here.
It was on the morning paper, reporting there were 2 Filipina additions to the Laker girls– Shelby and Alexie. Last year the Filipina newbie was Cheryl, and she still lookos remarkably great on her second year as a member of the very famous (even here in Pinas) cheerleading squad. One thing to note, they look asian yes, but the two freshies could be mistaken easily as mulattos, if not for their narrow frames.

You go girls!

A quick one on Valentines.

I realize I didn’t write anything about Valentine’s Day. Sorry but I guess it’s not something I can write about at the moment, except that I have nothing against it. It’s nice to have a feast day for lovers. Those who aren’t in a “lover”-type of relationship shouldn’t have anything to complain about. Except maybe to put up a feast day for them too. I’m kidding, please don’t kill me. Gotta go pencil-push.

Self-assessment.

Wow. Lesser time for the internet when I allow myself to take time through the day. Still endeavoring to take things slow, in almost everything I do. Assesment? It brings a higher sense of fulfilment and importance for even the smallest detail of every single day. And I don’t get the feeling of lethargy anymore. I suppose that sudden surges of laziness and sleepiness come after days of stress. Taking things at a relaxed but confident pace can do the trick.
=============
I’m getting more time to read my bedside books the past few days. After rereading Tolkien’s first part of the trilogy last week, I’ve read about 6 Sherlock Holmes stories the past 2 nights. Conan Doyle, insomnia and I kept each one’s company last night.

Alpha Sigma Day at the UP Fair.

Fair week in UP Diliman. We planned to go last night. We did, and hung for a bit outside the fair grounds after an early dinner. Jie called a bit later and said he was still in his basketball game and couldn’t come anymore. After a bit of stargazin’ and soundtrippin’ at the Malcolm Hall side of the sunken garden, we strolled to the Benitez side to take a closer look. Last year we went inside during the Alpha Sigma schedule. Last night was theirs too. When we got to the ticket queue there was a bunch of rioty kids clad in black who were not exactly appealing to the senses. We agreed that we weren’t in a “fair” mood anymore to enter, thought the better of it and started to walk home. We took a quick peek among the food stalls and didn’t find anything of interest. Not a total loss of time, we did enjoy being together. And we did get a far-away glimpse of that freaky Romeo Lee.The End.

Hello Monday. Just like the coming of a new year, the feeling is downplayed in each start of week, and I am always hopeful for favorable days to come. A clean slate it feels, as a fresh day begins. Have a great day everyone.
