Highlight? apart from the boring program and the hilarious quirks from my fellow grads, the fact that my parents, silverh and his mom were there… the gifts! I cannot believe silverh got me a limited edition of a Belldandy figurine! Funny part was he didn’t remove the price tag.

My boss (soon to be ex-boss) Cayen got me a set of silver earrings and bracelet. She knew how much I loved dolphin designs. And just this morning I noticed there was a card that stuck to the bag wrapping, and what she wrote was so perfect to calm down my nerves as I start my Ph.D. in June.

My mom got me a set of jewelry boxes, quaint little ceramic pieces which she knows I am so fond of.

Thanks to all who wished me the best, and I will hold true to my promise to do what I love, and I hope you’ll all still stick with me as I’ve stuck with you!

I almost forgot to watch the game last night. i had my calendar marked off as an LA vs. Houston game… darn IBC announced that game! Imagine the surprise I had when flicked the tube on and saw Peeler shooting from the perimeter! The Kings were playing the Mavs! Grrrr.

I hate having to watch the games from the local channel, but well, can’t complain ‘coz there isn’t much I can do about it. At least it wouldn’t be ’til the finals when Quinito and Chito take over as commentators. Hehehe. It’s funny hearing them do so.

The Kings played superb vs the Mavs, though this match-up is one that I don’t particularly enjoy. I like both teams, and it’s inevitable one’s to be eliminated. Anyhow… how does this work? Kings vs. Mavs, then hopefully Kings vs. Wolves right after. That’s a tough team to beat. And from the looks of it, it will be Spurs vs. Lakers on the one end.

Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. Time flies so fast, and there’s so much I want to do. Thank goodness I didn’t sign up for a Pilates class, the time I earned feels so precious now. It’s nice in a way, having time to sort out thoughts and emotions. Helps to keep myself in check, in every way. One thing I have to work on is the corking up of negative feelings. However irrelevant, these can really mess with your head in idle times.

Hear, hear. I was raised with the idea that there was no one to hold in reverence except Christ himself. In school, I rejected the idea that the Blessed Virgin was elevated to some degree of divinity as that of God himself. Siguro mali ako, at hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa din naman lubos na binabaligtad ang sarili kong paniniwala. Pero simula ng magbalik-simbahan ako noong kolehiyo, I was desperate for something to cling on to in the Catholic faith. Mary was my inspiration. Magpasahanggang ngayon naman mayroon pa rin akong mga pagdududa tungkol sa mga paniniwala ng Katoliko. Pero sa oras ng panghihina, I draw strength from Mary’s life. Itong pelikula na ‘to ang nagpalalim pa sa imahe ng Mag-ina sa imahinasyon ko.

Kobe reminds us that he is worthy of Jordan’s seat as King. ^_^ Well at least in the manner that they rise to the challenge of scoring when the team needs it most to win. Kakaiba yun ah, one of the best closing season games ever.

I’ve been having absolutely no time to organize my stuff in my bedroom. It is officially at its messiest as of today. Ugh. I got to reserve some energy for when I get home during the evenings. I may as well schedule my walks home to the late afternoons. I’m paying for it.

The Sacramento Kings rule!

Well, at least last night.

First two minutes pa lang excited na excited na ‘ko, dahil kitang-kita ang pagka-hyper ng Kings. Malas lang ng Lakers foul trouble na naman sila, at mukhang may personal issues na naman si Kobe. Second quarter na siya nag-attempt. Palya pa. Mukhang wala sa kondisyon maglaro ang mga hunghunks. Wala pa si Fox.

But enough of the Lakers, it was Kings’ night on Resurrection Day. Can’t help feel the furious rivalry between these two California teams. I obviously don’t live anywhere near the place, but it’s sizzling hot in the Western conference enough to feel the heat all the waaaaay here at home.

Anyhow, I’m not gonna kill anyone if the Kings don’t make it to the Finals, but it sure as hell would make my day if they do. How many years have they tried and have constantly been shot down year after year after year… Tama ba ang tanda ko, nung muntik na silang manalo nung 2001(?) kundi lang dahil kay Robert Horry? Hehe, Spurs vs. Lakers in the Western Conference. Or Spurs vs. Kings? Playoffs na!!!
